Standards

At B&A Scaffolding, we are dedicated to delivering scaffolding solutions that meet the highest industry standards. We operate in full compliance with all relevant UK legislation and the latest best practice guidelines from the National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC). Our adherence to these standards ensures that every scaffolding project we undertake is executed with the utmost care for safety, quality, and efficiency.

We strictly follow the Work at Height Regulations 2005, ensuring that all scaffolding work is carried out safely, particularly in environments where there is a risk of falls from height. This legal framework governs how we approach planning, supervision, and execution of scaffolding work, providing a solid foundation for risk management and ensuring the safety of our team and other personnel on-site.

Our operations are also guided by BS 12811, the British Standard for scaffold structures, which sets out key performance requirements for scaffolding, including structural design, loading, and construction. To complement this, we work in line with BS 5975, the standard for temporary works procedures, which provides detailed guidelines on risk assessments and safe working practices in temporary scaffolding structures.

As proud members of the NASC, we follow their technical guidance documents, including TG20 and SG4, which form the backbone of safe scaffolding practices in the UK. NASC TG20 ensures compliance with scaffold design and loading standards, enabling us to provide efficient, safe scaffolding that meets regulatory requirements. SG4, which focuses on preventing falls from height, is integral to our health and safety protocols, ensuring that we use the safest methods for erecting, altering, and dismantling scaffolding.

Additionally, we comply with SG6, which sets out best practices for the safe handling and transportation of scaffolding materials. This ensures that our operations are not only efficient but also mindful of manual handling risks, further enhancing safety on every site.

At B&A Scaffolding, we don’t just aim to meet industry standards—we aim to exceed them. By working to all main UK legislation and adhering to NASC's best guidance documents, we ensure that our scaffolding solutions are of the highest quality, safeguarding our team, our clients, and the success of every project.
